Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Oreno booed when Santa Caterina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fortunato Mazzei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oreno's Amedeo Giorgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Minichiello in the 8th minute of play. Santa Caterina's Dave Massaro got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domenico Di Cicco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesare Moretta in the 14th minute. Fortunato Tarquini kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Massaro in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amedeo Giorgi saved Oreno from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Minichiello in the 22nd minute of play forced Oreno's goalkeeper Amedeo Giorgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amedeo Giorgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Minichiello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oreno's Amedeo Giorgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Minichiello in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Oreno's Fortunato Tarquini got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Cesare Moretta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Alberto Belfiore took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Domenico Di Cicco to make any attempt to save it. Domenico Di Cicco made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Cesare Moretta sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Belfiore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Domenico Di Cicco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Belfiore in the 51st minute of the match. A collision led to Santa Caterina getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Filippo Mariotti hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Oreno's Cesare Moretta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domenico Di Cicco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After having played for 63 minutes, Dave Massaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Caterina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Massaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Oreno's Fortunato Tarquini got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute, Enzo Minichiello had to leave the field with a concussion. When Aurelio Marinetti fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oreno's protests and gave Aurelio Marinetti a yellow card for diving instead. Aurelio Marinetti hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Alberto Belfiore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Achille Piermattei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amedeo Giorgi made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Dave Massaro sent off a good shot on target. Santa Caterina's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
