Concessa's Amedeo De Simone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Biavati in the 4th minute of play. Alfonso Rago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Sardella, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Carnevale in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Rago saved Cercola AFC from getting behind. Emilio Sardella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Rago having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Anastasi in the 26th minute of play forced Cercola AFC's goalkeeper Alfonso Rago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Anastasi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Rago having to interfere. When Antonio Rivera fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cercola AFC's protests and gave Antonio Rivera a yellow card for diving instead. Emilio Sardella blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfonso Rago having to make a save. If Emilio Sardella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 40 in the game by Comunardo Ballerini from a close distance when the talented Amedeo De Simone managed to make a qualified save. Concessa's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Cercola AFC's Fedele Lenzi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amedeo De Simone. That made the score 1-0 after 48 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Concetto Biavati made the kick off in the second half. Cercola AFC's Comunardo Ballerini got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Concessa's Achille Ruscitti got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Bontempi during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Cercola AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Concetto Biavati to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Cercola AFC's Alfonso Rago got control of the ball when Emilio Sardella tried to sneak it across the goal line. Comunardo Ballerini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Amedeo De Simone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Comunardo Ballerini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cercola AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After having played for 86 minutes, Emilio Sardella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Concessa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Sardella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Concetto Biavati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amedeo De Simone having to interfere. Amedeo De Simone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo Ballerini in the 96th minute of play. Concessa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
