Cosimo Rigoni came out of the goal and Augusto Facchini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Facchini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Augusto Facchini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Facchini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cosimo Rigoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Portici getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Enzo Petricca hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Biagio Sessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Cala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Portici's goalkeeper Claudio Cala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Augusto Facchini fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cosimo Rigoni, passed just outside the right post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessio Carnevale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Facchini in the 56th minute of play forced Casaleggio Novara AFC's goalkeeper Cosimo Rigoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Portici's Claudio Cala got control of the ball when Eugenio Di Cesare tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute of the match Ermanno Colaneri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudio Cala showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Eugenio Di Cesare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biagio Sessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Cala having to interfere. The supporters of Casaleggio Novara AFC booed when Portici was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Petricca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Facchini struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Cosimo Rigoni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portici. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
