Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Beppe Di Tommaso took the kick off in the first half of the match. Claudio Cala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beppe Di Tommaso in the 8th minute of play. Augusto Facchini got in the 11th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Flavio Pietrini handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Augusto Facchini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Pietrini having to interfere. Arturo Fabri kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Portici's Augusto Facchini got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Portici's Claudio Cala got control of the ball when Ciccio Proietto tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ennio Marcucci fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portici's protests and gave Ennio Marcucci a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Portici got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Marcucci. Arturo Fabri kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Beppe Di Tommaso was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Monte San Giovanni FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Augusto Facchini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Pietrini having to interfere. If Beppe Di Tommaso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 37 minutes into the match, Ciccio Proietto notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Portici's Claudio Cala. Claudio Cala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciccio Proietto got free with Claudio Cala in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Portici booed when Monte San Giovanni FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Mastrocola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 49 played minutes, Portici's Ennio Marcucci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Pietrini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Portici reached it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessio Carnevale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavio Pietrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Carnevale in the 53rd minute of the match. Claudio Cala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Proietto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciccio Proietto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Claudio Cala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Achille Bianco during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Achille Bianco hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Ciccio Proietto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciccio Proietto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Claudio Cala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Portici's Augusto Facchini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Flavio Pietrini. Flavio Pietrini yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Arturo Fabri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessio Carnevale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Portici's Alessio Carnevale got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
