Alfonsine AFC's Alvaro Borrelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arrigo Macchione in the 12th minute of play. Santa Caterina's Elia Santagata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Santa Caterina from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Alfonsine AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Anselmo Celli hit a great ball. In the 20th match minute, Santa Caterina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Giammaria to maneuver through the defense. When Dennis Simeoni, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Elia Santagata was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a little luck, Santa Caterina's Elia Santagata got control of the ball when Beppe Vanni tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Alfonsine AFC booed when Santa Caterina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonello Giammaria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Borrelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arrigo Macchione, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filippo Vitullo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Santa Caterina getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Aldo Galliani hit a great ball. Elia Santagata was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alberigo Di Battista. In the 36th match minute, Santa Caterina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camillo Banana to maneuver through the defense. Filippo Vitullo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Beppe Vanni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elia Santagata having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elia Padula during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Alfonsine AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elia Padula to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, Santa Caterina's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Simeoni came free, but Elia Santagata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elia Santagata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Simeoni in the 73rd minute of play. Dennis Simeoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elia Santagata having to interfere. Arrigo Macchione sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Alfonsine AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Matteucci to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Beppe Vanni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elia Santagata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Simeoni in the 91st minute of the match. Elia Santagata came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Alfonsine AFC's Dennis Simeoni. But to his dismay, Dennis Simeoni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 96 minutes into the match, Alfonsine AFC's goalkeeper Alvaro Borrelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arrigo Macchione.
