After a rather tough play, Francolino's Alvaro Mattei got a free kick in the 21st minute. Casoria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Puce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alessio Rava was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudio Puce showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play. Ciccio Brunelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Di Lello, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Alessio Rava made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno De Francesco in the 67th minute of play. If Bruno De Francesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. Claudio Puce took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alessio Rava. Alvaro Mattei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Ciccio Brunelli made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Mattei got free with Ciccio Brunelli in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno De Francesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alessio Rava tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francolino's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
