In the 15th minute of the match Attilio Citrullo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armin Maldini skillfully saved the ball. After 23 played minutes Negrar FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberigo Miranda. Ettore Fino struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Ernesto Tabacco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fontanegli. Armin Maldini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Sabatini in the 27th minute of play. Armin Maldini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurelio Cerrone went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Negrar FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alberigo Miranda hit a great ball. Alberigo Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Fausto Faccio succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to get real power on a long shot . Negrar FC's Ernesto Tabacco hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-2! The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ettore Fino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Fontanegli's goalkeeper Armin Maldini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damiano Sabatini. When Damiano Sabatini came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Negrar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damiano Sabatini couldn't finish the play. Negrar FC's Ernesto Tabacco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Massimini in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fontanegli's zone, Aurelio Cerrone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armin Maldini came out of the goal and Aurelio Cerrone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Fontanegli getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Fortunato Mancinelli hit a great ball. Damiano Sabatini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Armin Maldini made a huge save. Negrar FC's Ernesto Tabacco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Massimini in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute Aurelio Cerrone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armin Maldini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ettore Fino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Ettore Fino made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Tabacco. Negrar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. With his leg Armin Maldini managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Negrar FC's Damiano Sabatini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ernesto Tabacco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Massimini in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Negrar FC's zone, Alberto Massimini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Tabacco came out of the goal and Alberto Massimini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Alberto Massimini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Tabacco was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. After 91 minutes, Alberigo Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Negrar FC and the Fontanegli players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fontanegli booed when Negrar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberigo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Negrar FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fontanegli throughout the match.
