The referee ignored Mezzana Casati FC's protests and gave Filippo Panino a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mezzana Casati FC's zone, Ettore Fino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achille Bosso came out of the goal and Ettore Fino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armin Maldini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesare Valente's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Cosimo Rondinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ettore Fino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Achille Bosso was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After having played for 26 minutes, Alberto Massimini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fontanegli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Massimini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Mezzana Casati FC's Cosimo Rondinelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armin Maldini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 38 minutes, Fortunato Mancinelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fontanegli and the Mezzana Casati FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fontanegli's Fortunato Mancinelli got a free kick in the 38th minute. Cosimo Rondinelli's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Armin Maldini skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Ettore Fino struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Achille Bosso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fontanegli. Cosimo Rondinelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Armin Maldini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Ettore Fino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Bosso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ettore Fino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Achille Bosso came out and tried to block the shot, but Ettore Fino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 61st minute. When Alberto Massimini came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Fontanegli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Massimini couldn't finish the play. Achille Bosso made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Alberto Massimini sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Massimini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Fontanegli booed when Mezzana Casati FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Pala didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 80th minute when Ettore Fino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Achille Bosso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Fino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 played minutes Mezzana Casati FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristoforo Taccone. After a rather tough play, Fontanegli's Claudio Conforti got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
