Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cornigliano Ligure FC's Donato Tiberio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Enzo Falone fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pecetto's protests and gave Enzo Falone a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Pecetto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Falone to maneuver through the defense. Donato Tiberio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Enrico De Tommasi came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Pecetto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrico De Tommasi couldn't finish the play. Aurelio Di Camillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonello Marcelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Enrico De Tommasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Di Camillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Falone in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Di Camillo saved Cornigliano Ligure FC from getting behind. Concetto Miccio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Bussi having to interfere. In the 27th minute of the match Franco Taglieri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Achille Bussi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Pecetto's Antonello Marcelli made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Di Camillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Concetto Miccio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Achille Bussi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Pecetto got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Cardano. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pecetto's goalkeeper Achille Bussi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonello Marcelli made a kick off. Enrico De Tommasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Aurelio Di Camillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelio Di Camillo made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Enrico De Tommasi sent off a good shot on target. Donato Tiberio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Bussi having to interfere. A collision led to Pecetto getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Flavio Marchesani hit a great ball. Achille Bussi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Tiberio, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When Cornigliano Ligure FC's Concetto Miccio in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pecetto's goalie prevented a goal. Concetto Miccio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achille Bussi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Miccio in the 79th minute of play. Donato Tiberio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Antonello Marcelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pecetto's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonello Marcelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Di Camillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonello Marcelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrico De Tommasi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Di Camillo having to interfere. Pecetto's Achille Bussi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Miccio in the 96th minute of play. The Pecetto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pecetto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
