The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ciccio Felicetti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Attilio Marinacci having to make a save. Emanuele Monti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bianco Garibaldi in the 33rd minute of the match. Ciccio Felicetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 played minutes Pontenure FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Sarnelli. In the 41st minute Edmondo De Iuliis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Marinacci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Claudio Piscitelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontenure FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Piscitelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuele Monti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alessandro Lepori fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pontenure FC's protests and gave Alessandro Lepori a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Prosecco booed when Pontenure FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Lepori didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Prosecco were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some careless play in the Prosecco defense, Bianco Garibaldi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuele Monti. The Prosecco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuele Monti should have stopped the shot. Edmondo De Iuliis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Marinacci having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Prosecco's Alexander Loreto got a free kick in the 65th minute. Emanuele Monti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Garibaldi in the 68th minute of play. If Edmondo De Iuliis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Lepori was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Alessandro Lepori kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Ciccio Felicetti rounded Pontenure FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. A collision led to Pontenure FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Carter Cacciatore hit a great ball. With a little luck, Pontenure FC's Attilio Marinacci got control of the ball when Edmondo De Iuliis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Prosecco's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
