Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ettore Santacroce got the match started through his kick off. When Augusto Biavati fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carpena FC's protests and gave Augusto Biavati a yellow card for diving instead. Augusto Biavati kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Arturo Gava showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Santacroce in the 7th minute of the match. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stella San Giovanni FC! Demetrio Ceccarelli kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Alberigo Albertini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Edmondo Tieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Stella San Giovanni FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Giardini to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Carpena FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberigo Albertini. Eraldo Giardini charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eraldo Giardini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Ettore Santacroce left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stella San Giovanni FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Federico Iezzi struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Arturo Gava didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stella San Giovanni FC. Biagio Sanna kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Ettore Santacroce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stella San Giovanni FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carpena FC the free kick. In the 39th minute, Ettore Santacroce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 42 minutes, Alberigo Albertini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpena FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberigo Albertini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmondo Tieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Albertini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmondo Tieri made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Armin De Grandis sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Alessandro Monaco took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Arturo Gava to make any attempt to save it. Alessandro Monaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Gava having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Monaco got free with Arturo Gava in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Federico Iezzi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Armin De Grandis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Tieri having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Stella San Giovanni FC's Ettore Santacroce ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arturo Gava. Arturo Gava yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. During the 86th minute of the match Eraldo Giardini completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eraldo Giardini a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 87 played minutes Stella San Giovanni FC got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Giardini. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Armin De Grandis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Armin De Grandis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmondo Tieri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Armin Bondi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
