Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tortiano AFC's Franco Pellegrini started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vercelli's goalkeeper Attilio Bosso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Franco Pellegrini came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Tortiano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Pellegrini couldn't finish the play. Andrea Cangiano hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Carlo Sammartino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Attilio Bosso having to make a save. Franco Pellegrini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13thth minute of the game Franco Pellegrini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vercelli's Attilio Bosso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Sammartino in the 15th minute of play forced Vercelli's goalkeeper Attilio Bosso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carlo Sammartino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Carlo Sammartino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tortiano AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlo Sammartino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Attilio Bosso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Attilio Bosso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Pellegrini, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Tortiano AFC's Carlo Sammartino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Attilio Bosso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ermanno Monticelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ercole Filice read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Franco Pellegrini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Bosso having to interfere. Attilio Bosso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Sammartino in the 44th minute of the match. Bernardo Tesone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Filice having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmine Liberatore to make the kick off. Tortiano AFC's Ercole Filice played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmine Liberatore in the 51st minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match Ettore Imperatrice sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ercole Filice skillfully saved the ball. Carlo Sammartino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Bernardo Tesone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vercelli's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Tesone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ercole Filice breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmine Liberatore in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ercole Filice saved Tortiano AFC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Tesone's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ercole Filice was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. A hard shot 69 in the game by Carlo Sammartino from a close distance when the talented Attilio Bosso managed to make a qualified save. Vercelli's players were relieved. After 72 played minutes Vercelli got a freekick which was hit by Carmine Liberatore. The supporters of Vercelli booed when Tortiano AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Iannone didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Ettore Imperatrice sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ercole Filice skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Tortiano AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Diego Spinosa hit a great ball. Carmine Liberatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ercole Filice tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlo Sammartino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Franco Pellegrini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vercelli getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Ermanno Monticelli hit a great ball. Frank Iannone was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 98th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Vercelli supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tortiano AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tortiano AFC.
