The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Amedeo Manna managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Giorgio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amedeo Manna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuele Napoleone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fortunato Del Giudice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Molassana getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Anfilogino Barbanti hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, San Giorgio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carter Di Cesare came free, but Concetto Pala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 played minutes San Giorgio FC got a freekick which was hit by Bianco Castellazzi. Concetto Pala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anfilogino Barbanti's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Anfilogino Barbanti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Pala having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Carter Di Cesare's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Concetto Pala was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fortunato Del Giudice got free with Emanuele Napoleone in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
