In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Damiano's goalkeeper Arturo Apicella, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Montorfano FC's Enrico Muciaccia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of San Damiano booed when Montorfano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Brini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Montorfano FC's Alberto Berti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Grieco in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Montorfano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Liaci to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Apicella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrico Muciaccia, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Enrico Muciaccia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montorfano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrico Muciaccia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Apicella breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrico Muciaccia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Brini got free with Arturo Apicella in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 minutes, Flavio De Michele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Damiano and the Montorfano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, San Damiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio De Michele to maneuver through the defense. Montorfano FC's Enrico Muciaccia got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrico Muciaccia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Corrado Raiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Grieco got free with Alberto Berti in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniele Angelici charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniele Angelici the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of San Damiano booed when Montorfano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Angelici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Comunardo Di Fabio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alberto Berti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montorfano FC's Alberto Berti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Montorfano FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Petrocchi during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Montorfano FC fully deserved thier win.
