All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Stanga's Cosimo Cieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo De Fina in the 53rd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Stanga:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Diminniti:s goal. The supporters of Stanga booed when Diminniti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Pellegrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Stanga's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo De Fina came free, but Cosimo Cieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diminniti walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
