The goalkeeper, Anselmo Mariotti, was totally fooled by Grecciano AFC's Camillo Nazzaro, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 17th minute, Alvaro Caracciolo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anfilogino Prisco took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Mariotti. Anselmo Mariotti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Concetto Dossena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Grecciano AFC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Franco Raiola hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Grecciano AFC defense, Alvaro Caracciolo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amos Di Fazio. The Grecciano AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amos Di Fazio should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Anselmo Mariotti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Gaudino in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Concetto Dossena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amos Di Fazio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Concetto Dossena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amos Di Fazio having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Florian Gaudino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grecciano AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Gaudino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Grecciano AFC's Anfilogino Prisco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anselmo Mariotti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Recetto FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Grecciano AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
