The supporters of Pittolo FC booed when Martignone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Coco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Migliorati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enzo Di Rocco kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Donato Migliorati succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Amedeo Strazzabosco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Giolo having to interfere. Daniele Gallucci hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Pittolo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Strazzabosco came free, but Bruno Giolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Pittolo FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Arrigo Sorge hit a great ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Domenico Giampietro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martignone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenico Giampietro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domenico Giampietro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bruno Giolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Martignone's Bruno Giolo threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edoardo Piccini, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 31 minutes, Alfredo Antico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pittolo FC and the Martignone players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Alfredo Antico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Alfredo Antico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pittolo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Martignone's Flavio Galli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Antico in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pittolo FC's zone, Amedeo Strazzabosco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Giolo came out of the goal and Amedeo Strazzabosco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, one of Martignone:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Martignone. Flavio Galli had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Dino Bencivenni's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Amedeo Strazzabosco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bruno Giolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 54th minute, Martignone's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donato Migliorati fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bruno Giolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenico Giampietro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Domenico Giampietro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amedeo Strazzabosco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bruno Giolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Domenico Giampietro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Martignone and the Pittolo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Martignone got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Strazzabosco. Donato Migliorati's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Flavio Galli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Amedeo Strazzabosco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
