The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emiliano Santoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Galli having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Martignone's Amedeo Strazzabosco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Santoro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Santoro in the 30th minute of play forced Martignone's goalkeeper Flavio Galli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Fata spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Martignone's goal. After 35 played minutes Amedeo Strazzabosco rounded Magreta AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Flavio Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Strazzabosco in the 39th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Fata was the one to do the kick off. When Enzo Di Rocco fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martignone's protests and gave Enzo Di Rocco a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes Martignone got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Di Rocco. Martignone's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Emiliano Santoro scored to the left of an out of position Flavio Galli, making the score, 1-1. Amedeo Strazzabosco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Santoro having to interfere. Magreta AFC's Emiliano Santoro got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavio Galli made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Emiliano Santoro sent off a good shot on target. Emiliano Santoro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Flavio Galli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 74 minutes Martignone's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciro Giammaria who took care of the corner kick. Flavio Galli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emiliano Santoro in the 76th minute. In the 81st match minute, Magreta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Miconi to maneuver through the defense. Magreta AFC's Flavio Santoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amedeo Strazzabosco in the 83rd minute of play. Amedeo Strazzabosco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Fata in the 93rd minute of play forced Martignone's goalkeeper Flavio Galli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Emiliano Santoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magreta AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Santoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 98th minute Fausto Fata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Galli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
