Fabio Speranza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosimo Improta, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Monza FC's Christian Ferri got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6thth minute of the game Cosimo Improta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monza FC's Fabio Speranza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabio Speranza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Chizzo in the 12th minute of play. Amedeo Caracciolo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carter Gigli in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Monza FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Aldo Morini hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, San Maurízio's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carter Gigli fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Aldo Morini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Amedeo Caracciolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carter Gigli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Speranza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elia Chizzo in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Monza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Chizzo came free, but Fabio Speranza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Elia Chizzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Speranza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Carter Gigli made the kick off in the second half. If Elia Chizzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Christian Ferri fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monza FC's protests and gave Christian Ferri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of San Maurízio booed when Monza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Ferri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Elia Chizzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Maurízio's supporters rose to their feet, but Elia Chizzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Speranza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the game, Aldo Morini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Amedeo Caracciolo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Aldo Morini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes of play, Monza FC's Carter Gigli made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amedeo Caracciolo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amedeo Caracciolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Morini in the 73rd minute of play. Amedeo Caracciolo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Aldo Morini came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Monza FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Morini couldn't finish the play. Carter Gigli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amedeo Caracciolo having to interfere. Amedeo Caracciolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carter Gigli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
