After a rather tough play, Sasso Marconi's Augusto Albertini got a free kick in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dario Fioravanti made a kick off. Emilio Piacente yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Anthony De Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Rallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Rallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthony De Rossi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 79th minute of the match Francesco Melucci sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emilio Piacente skillfully saved the ball. 81 minutes into the match, San Bonico AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Fioravanti came free, but Emilio Piacente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
