Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Diego Cericola got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's Alessio Mori got a free kick in the 4th minute. Diego Cericola might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfonso Mameli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Cericola ran back to his position shaking his head. Arturo Federici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniele Campoli having to interfere. Arturo Federici took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniele Campoli. Daniele Campoli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's Alberigo Amicone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Mameli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, San Leonardo AFC's Beppe Andreassi got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 20 minutes of play, Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's Alberigo Amicone made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonso Mameli was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind San Leonardo AFC's goalkeeper Alfonso Mameli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's Daniele Campoli got control of the ball when Arturo Federici tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Federici got free with Daniele Campoli in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Fausto Micarelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner led San Leonardo AFC's Ercole Fantozzi to fire away a dangerous shot which Daniele Campoli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Micarelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diego Cericola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 57 minutes into the match, Fausto Micarelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniele Campoli. Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Micarelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Arturo Federici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniele Campoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Micarelli in the 62nd minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's Diego Cericola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Mameli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 73 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when San Leonardo AFC's Fausto Micarelli fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 74th match minute, Gardolo Di Mezzo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Di Blasio to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Federici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Daniele Campoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alberigo Amicone came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Gardolo Di Mezzo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Amicone couldn't finish the play. Diego Cericola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Mameli having to interfere. Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
