Pernate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gardolo Di Mezzo FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pernate's Donato Tatangelo got a free kick in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Diego Cericola recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernesto Raimondi. Diego Cericola showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Comunardo Cucci during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Comunardo Cucci kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Pernate's Ernesto Raimondi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Pernate from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's Diego Cericola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Daniele Campoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Bevilacqua in the 29th minute of the match. Pernate's Donato Tatangelo managed to work through Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Donato Tatangelo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's Diego Cericola in the 33rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ernesto Raimondi was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Pernate through an amazing save. Diego Cericola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Raimondi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Eraldo Di Lello hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match Corrado Salerno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Raimondi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Diego Cericola dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ernesto Raimondi, 4-0. If Biagio Bevilacqua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Cericola to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Pernate's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Amicone came free, but Ernesto Raimondi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniele Campoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Tatangelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pernate's zone, Alberigo Amicone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Raimondi came out of the goal and Alberigo Amicone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Pernate's Enzo Cerrone got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Alberigo Amicone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pernate's Ernesto Raimondi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Mori in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's Daniele Campoli got control of the ball when Biagio Bevilacqua tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute Donato Tatangelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele Campoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gardolo Di Mezzo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
