In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Casciago's goalkeeper Arturo Clemente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute Corrado Pennetta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Ermanno Munno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puianello AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermanno Munno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ermanno Munno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Puianello AFC's attack was well implemented in the 40th minute, but when Corrado Pennetta was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Franco Epifani struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ciro Del Grosso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casciago. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damiano De Iuliis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 95th minute, Corrado Pennetta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
