Ernesto De Gregorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego De Toni, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Armo's zone, Diego De Toni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto De Gregorio came out of the goal and Diego De Toni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristoforo Nola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto De Gregorio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Reggianini in the 15th minute of play forced Isola Farnese's goalkeeper Arturo Scannella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Scannella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Evangelista, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Achille Reggianini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arturo Scannella read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Isola Farnese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elia Antonelli to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the game, Fabio Evangelista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arturo Scannella was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabio Evangelista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fabio Evangelista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego De Toni in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto De Gregorio saved Armo from getting behind. Cristoforo Nola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego De Toni to strike the kick off in the second half. Arturo Scannella was a little too slow when Achille Reggianini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego De Toni in the 69th minute of play forced Armo's goalkeeper Ernesto De Gregorio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Cristoforo Nola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Armo's Ernesto De Gregorio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabio Evangelista struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Arturo Scannella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Armo. Arturo Scannella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Reggianini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Diego De Toni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Armo's goalkeeper Ernesto De Gregorio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alberigo Tozzi hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. After 100 minutes Armo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fausto Pagliuca who took care of the corner kick. Fausto Pagliuca made a great header on Isola Farnese's corner, it was just that Armo's Ernesto De Gregorio managed to reach the ball for a save.
