Riva Verde FC's Armin Martinelli shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 37th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Camillo Causio but with some difficulty. Diego Mazzone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Amedeo Maranzano made a huge save. Riva Verde FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Gaspari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camillo Causio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Mazzone took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amedeo Maranzano. In the 63rd match minute, Castellanza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Maiorano to maneuver through the defense. Concetto Di Fonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Riva Verde FC's Amedeo Maranzano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Riva Verde FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Castellanza defense, Enzo Bulla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camillo Causio. The Castellanza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camillo Causio should have stopped the shot. Biagio Gianfrancesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Camillo Causio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riva Verde FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
