Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rivera's Carter Santilli started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfonso Carozza hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the game, Carter Santilli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bruno Faccio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Achille Petroni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Federico Caponera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Faccio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Gaspari, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Andrea De Vincentis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valle's Bruno Faccio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruno Faccio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carter Santilli in the 29th minute of play. Ettore Chelodi kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When Andrea De Vincentis came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Rivera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrea De Vincentis couldn't finish the play. Bruno Faccio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carter Santilli in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Franco Clemente fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Andrea De Vincentis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Faccio having to interfere. Aldo Gava charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Gava the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Franco Clemente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Federico Caponera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 54th minute of the match Valle got a corner. Rivera's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ercole Cameli ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Valle getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Arturo Paglione hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Cosimo Lorefice sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Faccio skillfully saved the ball. After 58 played minutes Valle got a freekick which was hit by Christian Lorenzi. Carter Santilli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Faccio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Andrea De Vincentis's late challenge caught a Valle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrea De Vincentis helped the player get up and apologised. Andrea De Vincentis kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Andrea De Vincentis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valle's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Carter Santilli scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Faccio, making the score, 0-3. If Andrea De Vincentis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Arrigo Gaspari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Achille Petroni struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Federico Caponera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valle.
