Briavacca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonello Scannella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciola FC's Franco Gentile got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrico Costantino got free with Enrico Morini in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferruccio Piano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Lemme, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Emilio Graziano fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Briavacca's protests and gave Emilio Graziano a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Briavacca's Emilio Graziano got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Fortunato Carta saw that he had a good position to shoot and he shot a long ball on target, but the ball went just outside the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Briavacca's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Gentile came free, but Enrico Morini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ercole Lemme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ferruccio Piano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The supporters of Ciola FC booed when Briavacca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvise Gazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinando Gregori in the 59th minute of play forced Ciola FC's goalkeeper Ferruccio Piano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinando Gregori's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferruccio Piano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. When Bianco Marsili fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciola FC's protests and gave Bianco Marsili a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ciola FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Briavacca's Antonello Scannella couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ciola FC. Franco Gentile struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Enrico Morini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciola FC. Enrico Costantino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrico Morini having to make a save. In the 88th match minute, Briavacca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Gazza to maneuver through the defense. Fortunato Carta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enrico Morini. Briavacca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ercole Lemme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Briavacca's zone, Franco Gentile stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrico Morini came out of the goal and Franco Gentile tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ciola FC had won after a very even match.
