After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Anfilogino Coviello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camaldoli 's supporters rose to their feet, but Anfilogino Coviello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edoardo Romano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Camaldoli 's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Poletti came free, but Flavio Serafini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Serafini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Fedele Verdecchia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Ermanno Masi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camaldoli 's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pianura the free kick. Amos Arioli did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Edoardo Romano 38 minutes into the match. Anfilogino Coviello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Edoardo Romano made a huge save. Amos Arioli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Romano having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amos Arioli was the one to do the kick off. Amos Arioli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pianura's zone, Anfilogino Coviello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edoardo Romano came out of the goal and Anfilogino Coviello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fedele Verdecchia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edoardo Romano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amos Arioli in the 62nd minute of the match. When Fedele Verdecchia came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Pianura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedele Verdecchia couldn't finish the play. Alessio Poletti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Flavio Serafini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Elia Signoretti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edoardo Romano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Coviello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Amos Arioli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edoardo Romano was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. The supporters of Camaldoli booed when Pianura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Roberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Amos Minichiello sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pianura's Edoardo Romano didn't even have to move. In the 81st match minute, Camaldoli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Caroli to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amos Arioli in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edoardo Romano saved Pianura from getting behind. Ennio Mastronardi's late challenge caught a Camaldoli 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ennio Mastronardi helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes, Camaldoli 's Amos Minichiello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edoardo Romano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Camaldoli reached it. Amos Arioli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Romano having to interfere.
