Garniga Nuova's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Colaneri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eraldo Gentili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amedeo Casciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Eraldo Gentili successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Garniga Nuova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristoforo Colombo should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Garniga Nuova booed when Gavasseto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Bassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elia Ferrini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute.
