Caresanablot's Ennio Sciascia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Aversano in the 14th minute of play. Cesare Aversano's late challenge caught a Caresanablot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesare Aversano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Caresanablot booed when Sopramonte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesare Aversano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciccio Manfredi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Edmondo Martini's late challenge caught a Sopramonte FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmondo Martini helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Caresanablot got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Martini. In the 32nd match minute, Caresanablot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Petrocchi to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciccio Manfredi got free with Ennio Sciascia in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferruccio Cardillo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Ciccio Manfredi struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ennio Sciascia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sopramonte FC. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Ottavi made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Sopramonte FC's Cesare Aversano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ennio Sciascia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ennio Sciascia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesare Aversano's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Ciccio Manfredi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Sopramonte FC's Franco Sciamanna got control of the ball when Florian Caccia tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Florian Caccia came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Caresanablot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florian Caccia couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute, Angelo Ottavi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Ferdinando Stefano had to leave the field with a concussion. Eraldo Di Bartolo's late challenge caught a Caresanablot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
