Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabio Colaussi started the match with the kick off. Bruno Piccone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Birago getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Fabrizio Maio hit a great ball. Fausto Masi's late challenge caught a Carimate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Masi helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Birago:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carimate:s goal. 25 minutes into the game, Damiano Amicone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carimate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birago the free kick. A collision led to Carimate getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Damiano Amicone hit a great ball. If Fabio Colaussi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Carimate's Bruno Piccone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donato Egger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Fabrizio Maio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Lombardi having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Birago's goalkeeper Donato Egger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabrizio Maio to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmondo Trevisani during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eraldo Lombardi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrizio Maio in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Carimate's Bruno Piccone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donato Egger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 65th minute, Flavio Rubini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Egger was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Damiano Amicone. 67 minutes into the match, Fabio Colaussi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Donato Egger, 1-5. Fabio Colaussi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Ettore Betti made a precise shot to the right of Eraldo Lombardi. Carimate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Fabrizio Maio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Eraldo Lombardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eraldo Lombardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrizio Maio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Birago's goalkeeper Donato Egger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Piccone. When the match was over Carimate could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Birago throughout the match.
