With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demetrio Prandini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Poggio Varano AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buffalora the free kick. Buffalora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmine Giansante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Eraldo Flocco made a precise shot to the right of Demetrio Prandini. Poggio Varano AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, Buffalora's Eraldo Flocco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Demetrio Prandini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Poggio Varano AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Buffalora were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Lauro to make the kick off. Eraldo Carbonaro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Eraldo Carbonaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Lauro in the 93rd minute of the match. Fabio Lusi, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
