After a rather tough play, Palazzi FC's Bianco Gervasi got a free kick in the 8th minute. Federico Lio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fabio Lusi. Federico Lio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Flocco in the 10th minute of the match. Alessandro Di Crescenzo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Alfonso Fioravanti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Carmine Giansante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Federico Lio. Palazzi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmine Giansante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 20th minute, Federico Cipollini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Palazzi FC's Alfonso Fioravanti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eraldo Carbonaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Federico Cipollini sped through Buffalora's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eraldo Carbonaro. Alfonso Fioravanti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eraldo Carbonaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessandro Di Crescenzo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Carmine Giansante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Flocco in the 41st minute of play forced Palazzi FC's goalkeeper Federico Lio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmine Giansante's late challenge caught a Palazzi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmine Giansante helped the player get up and apologised. Alfonso Fioravanti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Eraldo Carbonaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eraldo Flocco was the one to do the kick off. Federico Cipollini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eraldo Carbonaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Eraldo Carbonaro managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Palazzi FC's Federico Cipollini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eraldo Carbonaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Fioravanti, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Federico Cipollini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Palazzi FC's Alfonso Fioravanti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eraldo Carbonaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Buffalora getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Fedele Rapone hit a great ball. Federico Lio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Giansante in the 76th minute of play. Eraldo Carbonaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Fioravanti, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Buffalora's Alessandro Di Crescenzo got a free kick in the 80th minute. Federico Cipollini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palazzi FC's Federico Cipollini got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Federico Lio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eraldo Flocco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eraldo Flocco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eraldo Flocco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Lio having to interfere.
