Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Emiliano Mannella made the kick off and thus started the match. Achille Pascali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Mannella in the 3rd minute of play. After 5 minutes, Florian Barbanti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Floriano and the Zambana Nuova AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Zambana Nuova AFC booed when San Floriano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Barbanti didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Zambana Nuova AFC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Domenico Circelli hit a great ball. Achille Pascali made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eraldo Garibaldi in the 12th minute. Ernesto Di Fonzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Marchesani in the 15th minute of play. If Flavio Granati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Pascali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Mannella, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Achille Pascali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Mannella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th play minute Eraldo Garibaldi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Achille Pascali. 1-0. Ernesto Di Fonzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavio Granati went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Flavio Granati came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Zambana Nuova AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Granati couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciro Marchesani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro Marchesani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Di Fonzo having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, San Floriano's Emiliano Mannella nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Achille Pascali made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 67th minute, Flavio Granati reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ernesto Di Fonzo. The goal made the score 2-2. Ciro Marchesani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ernesto Di Fonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute of the match Cristoforo Silvestre sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Achille Pascali skillfully saved the ball. If Emiliano Mannella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Marchesani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Di Fonzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Ciro Marchesani fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ernesto Di Fonzo, passed just outside the right post. Emiliano Mannella struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Achille Pascali didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Floriano. In the 96th minute of the match Bruno Bonfigli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Achille Pascali skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Granati got free with Ernesto Di Fonzo in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Zambana Nuova AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zambana Nuova AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
