Amos Brillante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Persichetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amos Brillante in the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Ferruccio Egidi made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Persichetti. Piani's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 35 minutes into the game, Christian Colagrossi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merano the free kick. Christian Colagrossi kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Amos Brillante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Persichetti having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amos Brillante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferruccio Egidi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferruccio Egidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Persichetti having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Piani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Colagrossi to maneuver through the defense. If Ferruccio Egidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Salerni hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Amos Brillante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Flavio Persichetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ferruccio Egidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferruccio Egidi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Flavio Persichetti made a huge save. Merano's Ferruccio Egidi got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1-2 became the score in the 79th minute when Amos Brillante elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Cristoforo Abbagnale came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Piani's Biagio Meazza. But to his dismay, Biagio Meazza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 94th match minute, Merano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Sacchetti to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Bernardo Tozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
