Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ferruccio Feltrin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gazzolo's Ferdinando Cavallo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Gazzolo from getting a goal against them. Cosimo Nicolai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferruccio Feltrin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Persichetti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. The Piani fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Piani's Alvaro Colecchia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Biagio Meazza in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinando Cavallo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Piani's Alvaro Colecchia got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Biagio Meazza in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdinando Cavallo saved Gazzolo from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Biagio Meazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piani's supporters rose to their feet, but Biagio Meazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinando Cavallo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Piani's Biagio Meazza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ferdinando Cavallo. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. 38 minutes into the game, Diego Paoletti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gazzolo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piani the free kick. In the 37th minute, one of Gazzolo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gazzolo. Ferdinando Cavallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Meazza in the 44th minute of play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Biagio Meazza to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Gazzolo's Adriano Proietto got a free kick in the 50th minute. Ferdinando Cavallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Biagio Meazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Gazzolo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Alfonso Costanzo hit a great ball. If Alvaro Colecchia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piani's Biagio Meazza got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Biagio Meazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferdinando Cavallo was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Flavio Persichetti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosimo Nicolai in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Piani's Davide Riccitelli got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Ferruccio Feltrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Flavio Persichetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gazzolo's Cosimo Nicolai got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Christian Colagrossi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gazzolo the free kick. The supporters of Gazzolo booed when Piani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Colagrossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adriano Proietto fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gazzolo's protests and gave Adriano Proietto a yellow card for diving instead. Adriano Proietto hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Colecchia in the 91st minute of play forced Gazzolo's goalkeeper Ferdinando Cavallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes Gazzolo got a freekick which was hit by Cosimo Nicolai. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gazzolo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Piani.
