Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniele Niccolai started the match with the kick off. Achille Maldini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Castronovo having to interfere. Eraldo Castronovo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Maldini, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Federico Preda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amedeo Rossi. Bastiglia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Preda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Daniele Niccolai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Castronovo having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ottavia's goalkeeper Eraldo Castronovo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eraldo Castronovo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniele Niccolai in the 25th minute of the match. Eraldo Castronovo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Maldini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Di Cesare hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, Ottavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosimo Micarelli to maneuver through the defense. Eraldo Castronovo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achille Maldini in the 35th minute of play. Cosimo Micarelli charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cosimo Micarelli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Ottavia got a freekick which was hit by Cosimo Micarelli. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ottavia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Florian Bulla was slow to take the kick. During this time Bastiglia's players had a chance to rest. 45 minutes into the game, Bastiglia's Daniele Niccolai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eraldo Castronovo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

60 minutes into the match, Ottavia's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Niccolai came free, but Eraldo Castronovo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniele Niccolai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eraldo Castronovo having to make a save. Eraldo Castronovo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniele Niccolai showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 72 minute of play. In the 75th minute Daniele Niccolai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eraldo Castronovo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ottavia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Enzo Giordani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Amedeo Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bastiglia's Fulvio Marra got a free kick in the 86th minute. Enzo Giordani might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amedeo Rossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enzo Giordani ran back to his position shaking his head. After 90 played minutes Bastiglia got a freekick which was hit by Fulvio Marra. Ottavia's Arrigo Pili was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amedeo Rossi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 95thth minute of the game Enzo Giordani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bastiglia's Amedeo Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eugenio Cardillo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
