The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Augusto Corvasce hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Bastiglia's Amedeo Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bianco Di Fonzo in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Tirrenia AFC booed when Bastiglia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Ramundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damiano Masciarelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amedeo Rossi having to interfere. Alfredo Ramundo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Damiano Masciarelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Amedeo Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Tirrenia AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Achille Maldini fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 32nd match minute, Bastiglia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Brandini to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damiano Masciarelli in the 36th minute of play forced Bastiglia's goalkeeper Amedeo Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damiano Masciarelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bianco Di Fonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donato Riccitelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniele Niccolai in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniele Niccolai to make the kick off. Achille Maldini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Riccitelli having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Fulvio Marra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bastiglia and the Tirrenia AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fulvio Marra hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The supporters of Bastiglia booed when Tirrenia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Maio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bianco Di Fonzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amedeo Rossi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Tirrenia AFC's Donato Riccitelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Maldini in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Tirrenia AFC booed when Bastiglia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulvio Marra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amedeo Rossi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damiano Masciarelli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 83 minute of play. In the 87th minute Damiano Masciarelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amedeo Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bianco Di Fonzo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Amedeo Rossi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Bastiglia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tirrenia AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tirrenia AFC.
