Achille Musso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Felice Bisegna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Malva Sud AFC booed when Vignolo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Mei didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Iob's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felice Bisegna was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Achille Musso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malva Sud AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Achille Musso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felice Bisegna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Collovati during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Vignolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Collovati to maneuver through the defense. If Achille Musso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Malva Sud AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Donato Donatelli hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vignolo's zone, Achille Musso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felice Bisegna came out of the goal and Achille Musso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 minutes of play, Malva Sud AFC's Achille Musso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felice Bisegna was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adriano Mei during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Vignolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Graziani to maneuver through the defense. Enrico Juliano might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anthony Lorenzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrico Juliano ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Achille Musso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Iob recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Achille Musso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vignolo's Felice Bisegna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Vignolo from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, Vignolo's goal looked a bit too open when Achille Musso came free, but Felice Bisegna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vignolo's Adriano Mei got a free kick in the 78th minute. Vignolo's Felice Porreca got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
