Augusto Ottaviani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Carnevale having to interfere. Alessandro Carnevale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Meazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Augusto Ottaviani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pescatori AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Ottaviani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro Carnevale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alessandro Carnevale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anthony Meazza's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Meazza in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Carnevale saved Cabanette AFC from getting behind. Enzo Aloisi kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Pescatori AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Di Fabio came free, but Adriano Piccone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Teodori in the 38th minute of play forced Pescatori AFC's goalkeeper Adriano Piccone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cabanette AFC's zone, Augusto Ottaviani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Carnevale came out of the goal and Augusto Ottaviani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthony Meazza to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Anthony Meazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pescatori AFC and the Cabanette AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anthony Meazza hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Augusto Ottaviani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Alessandro Carnevale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Meazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of Cabanette AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Pescatori AFC had held the ball for most of the match.
