Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmine Marulli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvaro Ali's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. When Alvaro Ali came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Bavari FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Ali couldn't finish the play. Arturo Massimi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Alvaro Ali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Carmine Marulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrea Laurenti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Mariotti having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Bavari FC's Alvise Belfiore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carmine Marulli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dino Fracassi charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dino Fracassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute, Dino Fracassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrea Laurenti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dave Mariotti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Antonio Stellato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Carmine Marulli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvise Belfiore in the 59th minute of play. Alfredo Pasquarelli's late challenge caught a Bavari FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Pasquarelli helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Alvise Belfiore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carmine Marulli was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 78th minute Alvise Belfiore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmine Marulli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alvaro Ali came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Bavari FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Ali couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
