In the 6th minute, Amedeo Pagliarini made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Piccini. Villa Oneto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 12th minute of the match Claudio Chiarelli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Fabiani skillfully saved the ball. Florian Caracciolo's late challenge caught a Villa Oneto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florian Caracciolo helped the player get up and apologised. Florian Caracciolo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Antonio Gallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Fabiani having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Antonio Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Oneto's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Gallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Fabiani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute Ernesto Celli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Piccini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Biagio Melfi during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 34 minutes into the match, Villa Oneto's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Celli came free, but Flavio Piccini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Gallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Augusto Fabiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelio Ceci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelio Ceci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonio Gallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Fabiani having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Villa Oneto got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Angelini. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonio Gallo was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Villa Oneto's Antonio Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Fabiani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Florian Caracciolo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. Florian Caracciolo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Posta FC's Augusto Fabiani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Gallo in the 57th minute of play. Aurelio Ceci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Fabiani having to make a save. Aurelio Ceci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Fabiani having to interfere. A collision led to Villa Oneto getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Fabiano Valcareggi hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Ernesto Celli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Piccini. Villa Oneto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Celli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The supporters of Posta FC booed when Villa Oneto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Valcareggi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Celli got free with Flavio Piccini in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ernesto Celli came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Posta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Celli couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa Oneto's goalkeeper Flavio Piccini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Posta FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Posta FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
