The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Del Vecchio during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Bernate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Del Vecchio to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domenico Meazza in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domenico Panico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 23 minutes, Daniele Epifani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bernate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniele Epifani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 25 played minutes Gaggiano got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Pich. Daniele Epifani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Panico having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Gaggiano got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Santini. Daniele Epifani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Domenico Panico made a huge save. Domenico Panico came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bernate's Daniele Epifani. But to his dismay, Daniele Epifani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 38thth minute of the game Domenico Meazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaggiano's Domenico Panico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Domenico Meazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domenico Panico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniele Epifani in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domenico Meazza made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Daniele Epifani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniele Epifani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achille Riccardi's late challenge caught a Gaggiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Achille Riccardi helped the player get up and apologised. Alfonso Rossini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Mammarella, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Flavio Del Vecchio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. Flavio Del Vecchio kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Ennio Mammarella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes in the game, Ennio Mammarella fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alfonso Rossini having to interfere. Daniele Epifani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Di Domenico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Rossini having to interfere. In the 96th minute Ennio Mammarella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Rossini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bernate fully deserved thier win.
