Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Enrico Caretti kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes, Basaldella's Bruno Leggeri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ferruccio Bianco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Basaldella reached it. Ferruccio Bianco came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Basaldella's Arrigo Barbanti. But to his dismay, Arrigo Barbanti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ferruccio Bianco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Barbanti, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute of the match Alberigo Ubriaco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Di Natale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Basaldella's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Enrico Caretti scored to the left of an out of position Bernardo Di Natale, making the score, 1-1. Bernardo Di Natale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrico Caretti, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Bernardo Di Natale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Ferraresi in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Basaldella's goalkeeper Bernardo Di Natale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filippo Scannella took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ferruccio Bianco. Valleggia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ferruccio Bianco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Grossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Arrigo Barbanti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferruccio Bianco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Grossi in the 35th minute of play. Ferruccio Bianco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Grossi in the 40th minute of the match. Arrigo Barbanti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferruccio Bianco having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fortunato Grossi was the one to do the kick off. Angelo Ferraresi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Di Natale having to interfere. Bernardo Di Natale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Ferraresi in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Basaldella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Scannella to maneuver through the defense. Fortunato Grossi hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Bernardo Di Natale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrico Caretti's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Bernardo Di Natale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Caretti in the 65th minute of play. Angelo Ferraresi hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Florian Carosella kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Alexander Sivieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arrigo Barbanti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferruccio Bianco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Enrico Caretti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Di Natale. Basaldella's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrico Caretti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 81 minutes of play, Valleggia's Enrico Caretti made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Di Natale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Enzo Sangermano's late challenge caught a Basaldella's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enzo Sangermano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Basaldella booed when Valleggia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Sangermano didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Valleggia's Ferruccio Bianco got control of the ball when Arrigo Barbanti tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Valleggia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Puja to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Ferraresi struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Bernardo Di Natale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valleggia. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Valleggia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Basaldella had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
