The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Rosapineta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Moretti to maneuver through the defense. Tivoli's Felice Lucentini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Tivoli from getting a goal against them. Anselmo Pace fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Salemme having to interfere. Anfilogino Salvagnin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Rosapineta getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Bianco Mastrangelo hit a great ball. If Anselmo Pace had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Salemme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Pace in the 21st minute of play. In the 36th minute Biagio Santone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Salemme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anfilogino Salvagnin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anfilogino Salvagnin to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Rosapineta's zone, Biagio Santone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Salemme came out of the goal and Biagio Santone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Biagio Santone's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Salemme was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Alvise Combi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Felice Lucentini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anfilogino Salvagnin scored 1-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felice Lucentini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfonso Salemme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Santone in the 69th minute of the match. If Anselmo Pace had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Pace fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Salemme having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Alvise Combi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Biagio Santone kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfonso Salemme. That made the score 1-1 in the 83 minute of play. Tivoli's Felice Lucentini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anfilogino Salvagnin in the 87th minute of play. Biagio Santone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Salemme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. With a little luck, Rosapineta's Alfonso Salemme got control of the ball when Anselmo Pace tried to sneak it across the goal line. Biagio Santone took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Salemme. Alfonso Salemme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tivoli walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
