In the 2nd minute, Alex Piacentini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cappuccini AFC's Ercole Tenaglia got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute of the match, Domenico Mara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arturo Barberio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ermanno Foddis might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Barberio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ermanno Foddis ran back to his position shaking his head. Ercole Tenaglia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ferdinando Di Febo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cappuccini AFC's Arturo Barberio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Cappuccini AFC from getting a goal against them. The attack was good, but when Diego Alba in the 26th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Domenico Mara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Barberio having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Villa Inferno's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Tenaglia came free, but Ferdinando Di Febo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Diego Alba came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Cappuccini AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Alba couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Dino Montaldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Domenico Rea fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cappuccini AFC's protests and gave Domenico Rea a yellow card for diving instead. Ermanno Foddis might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Barberio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ermanno Foddis ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Cappuccini AFC's Alessandro Lorefice got a free kick in the 42nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Ermanno Foddis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ercole Tenaglia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferdinando Di Febo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Alba in the 53rd minute. If Ermanno Foddis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domenico Mara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arturo Barberio having to make a save. Ercole Tenaglia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cappuccini AFC's Ercole Tenaglia got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Domenico Mara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Ercole Tenaglia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinando Di Febo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Ermanno Foddis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Inferno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermanno Foddis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ermanno Foddis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermanno Foddis in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Barberio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Cappuccini AFC booed when Villa Inferno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesare Capuozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinando Di Febo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Di Francesco in the 94th minute of the match. Dino Montaldi hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Villa Inferno fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cappuccini AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
