Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Concetto Rotili started the match with the kick off. Anselmo Maio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Rotili, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 7 minutes into the game, Cristoforo Di Cola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Anselmo Maio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Concetto Rotili in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anselmo Maio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Talamo got free with Alexander Di Virgilio in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Di Cola in the 21st minute of play forced Montecchio Emilia's goalkeeper Anselmo Maio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes, Ferruccio Nicolini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montecchio Emilia and the Villanova Camposampiero AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Montecchio Emilia got a freekick which was hit by Ferruccio Nicolini. In the 31st minute, Cristoforo Di Cola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anselmo Maio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alexander Di Virgilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Caniglia in the 35th minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match Armin Filippini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexander Di Virgilio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrico Caniglia made a kick off. Alexander Di Virgilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrico Caniglia in the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Montecchio Emilia got a corner. Villanova Camposampiero AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Camillo Sessa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Camillo Sessa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Villanova Camposampiero AFC's Alexander Di Virgilio did a great save. Enrico Caniglia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elia Petrini's late challenge caught a Villanova Camposampiero AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elia Petrini helped the player get up and apologised. Cristoforo Di Cola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Flavio Zollino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villanova Camposampiero AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montecchio Emilia the free kick. In the 77th match minute, Villanova Camposampiero AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Zollino to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Villanova Camposampiero AFC's Concetto Rotili slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anselmo Maio. That made the score 0-3 after 79 minutes of play. Cristoforo Di Cola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Villanova Camposampiero AFC's Concetto Rotili got a free kick in the 89th minute. Alvaro Talamo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes Montecchio Emilia got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Sessa. 96 minutes into the match, Montecchio Emilia's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Rotili came free, but Anselmo Maio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Villanova Camposampiero AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villanova Camposampiero AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
