Fulvio Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Bassani having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bitritto's zone, Alberto Di Vito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Bassani came out of the goal and Alberto Di Vito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Bitritto booed when Faenza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Carta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Di Vito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Arturo Bassani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Bitritto's Ferdinando De Toni ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bruno Ranieri. Bruno Ranieri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Bitritto booed when Faenza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Carafa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A very good chance. Bruno Ranieri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alvise Quadrini went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ferdinando De Toni took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Ranieri. Bruno Ranieri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Alvise Quadrini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Ranieri having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulvio Donato in the 76th minute of play forced Bitritto's goalkeeper Arturo Bassani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filippo Chitarroni's late challenge caught a Bitritto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filippo Chitarroni helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Antonello Piccini sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Faenza's Bruno Ranieri didn't even have to move. 93 minutes into the match, Alvise Quadrini notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Faenza's Bruno Ranieri. Bruno Ranieri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bitritto had won after a very even match.
