After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Fabrizio Verdecchia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aie AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrizio Verdecchia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demetrio Mattioli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Ciro Menna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Spinosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Santo Briccio AFC's Damiano De Matteis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessio Spinosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ciro Menna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Anselmo Nasuti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Santo Briccio AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ercole Marsilio made a kick off. Alessio Spinosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Nasuti in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Ercole Marsilio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ercole Marsilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demetrio Mattioli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrizio Verdecchia in the 60th minute of play. The Aie AFC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Aie AFC's Ercole Marsilio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 64th minute, Fausto Valeri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ercole Marsilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Mattioli having to interfere. After 82 minutes of play, Aie AFC's Alfonso Di Gregorio made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demetrio Mattioli was left in no man's land by his defense there! 87 minutes into the game, Damiano De Matteis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santo Briccio AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aie AFC the free kick. In the 87th minute, Damiano De Matteis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demetrio Mattioli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabrizio Verdecchia's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Alessio Spinosa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 91st minute, which inside left pole to 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Marsilio in the 97th minute of play forced Santo Briccio AFC's goalkeeper Demetrio Mattioli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
