In the 30th minute Corrado Macchia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Corleone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pontenure's Corrado Macchia in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lucento's Carlo Corleone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corrado Macchia in the 33rd minute of play. Corrado Macchia scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlo Corleone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlo Corleone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Guidone in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, Pontenure's Fabiano Fiore got a free kick in the 56th minute. Enzo Alberico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bernardo Ottaviani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Ottaviani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Pellecchia in the 61st minute of the match. Dave Guidone struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Carlo Corleone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontenure. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Guidone got free with Carlo Corleone in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pontenure! After 83 minutes, Amedeo Cremonese mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pontenure and the Lucento players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Pontenure was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amedeo Cremonese to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Pontenure's zone, Enzo Alberico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Ottaviani came out of the goal and Enzo Alberico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fabiano Pellecchia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corrado Macchia might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlo Corleone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corrado Macchia ran back to his position shaking his head. Lucento's Carlo Corleone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Lucento from getting a goal against them. Dave Guidone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Carlo Corleone made a huge save. The Pontenure players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Lucento from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
